Distinguished adviser awardThe Distinguished Adviser Award honors CMA members with five or more years of experience in college student media advising who have demonstrated exceptional service in a specific area of the field. Nominees must be actively advising at the time of their nomination. As of 2023, the award is no longer categorized by medium. Instead, it recognizes outstanding advisers from both four-year and two-year colleges and universities.
