Celebrating Excellence in College Media

The College Media Association proudly recognizes outstanding contributions to student media through a range of awards and honors. Our programs celebrate the educators, students, and professionals who elevate collegiate journalism and demonstrate leadership, creativity, and dedication in the field.

For advisers, we offer both annual awards—such as the Distinguished Adviser and Emerging Adviser honors—and a series of Special Honors recognizing extraordinary service, innovation, or advocacy. While some of these awards are presented yearly, others are reserved for truly exceptional circumstances and are awarded only when a candidate’s impact stands above the rest.

Our student contests, including the Pinnacle Awards, Apple Awards, and Film & Audio Festival, highlight the best in student-produced journalism, design, multimedia, and more across college media outlets nationwide.
