Convention onsite video contest
NEW MEDIA: New York Contest Information:
Scroll down to read the rules. To Register visit the VOPED Booth by 2 PM Monday, March 15, 2010.
Here are the basic rules:
Video must be taken on site in New York, at or around the convention, and be limited to 3 minutes in length.- The VOPED Terms of Use provides guidelines for appropriate content, see Section 8: http://voped.com/terms.php.
- Video should be newsworthy as it pertains to you, the convention and location. Be creative!
- Upload your video to the link on the College Media Contest Homepage by 5:00PM on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
E-mail, Facebook, or Tweet your video link to your family/ friends to bump up your views!
The NEW MEDIA, NEW YORK Contest ends on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:59 PM EST.
The video with the most views when the contest ends wins an iPod Nano with Video from VOPED. The winner will be announced on VOPED’s twitter page on Friday, March 19, 2010, www.twitter.com/voped.

Tales from FERPA crypt
Tell us your FERPA horror stories. The Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act was intended to protect educational records. However, as many know, some institutions have extended the definition of "educational" records to keep what should be public information behind a veil of secrecy. Kevin Schwartz at the University of North Carolin at Chapel Hill is collecting FERPA "horror story" anecdotes in an effort to make a case for reform of FERPA restrictions.
