The CMA Special Election Run-Off for President-Elect voting period ended April 19 at 5 p.m. ET. Thank you to all members who voted.
Below are the full results:
Steven Chappell: 44 votes
Kenna Griffin: 104 votes
With the majority vote, Kenna Griffin will be CMA's president-elect. Kenna will take office as president-elect in October and replace the past-president as a sitting board member during this transition to the newly created president-elect position. This specific new president-elect will serve a one-year term in her position and then, in 2019, be sworn in as president.
After this one-year transition period, CMA elections will resume on the odd-year voting schedule as spelled out in the CMA bylaws. Members will elect a president-elect, a vice president of member training and a vice president of member support every two years.
