I would like to share a staff change on the CMA team. Nora Keller, our general manager, has been promoted to executive director of CMA. The CMA board unanimously approved this change at their July board meeting, and the change is effective Aug. 1.

If you are not aware, the CMA staff team works for Kellen, an association management company. I have served as executive director since 2015 when CMA joined Kellen. I will transition to an executive oversight role, so I will still be involved with and responsible for CMA, but less in the day-to-day operations. Nora will be your new primary contact.

Nora has worked with CMA since 2016 and has managed many of CMA’s programs, including the Pinnacle and Apple awards, the Film and Audio Festival, conventions, membership, and communications. When I was on maternity leave last year, Nora had a trial run serving as executive director and did a phenomenal job, so we are excited for her to lead CMA.

A new team member named Amanda Frio has joined the staff. She will assume Nora’s previous position and take on her current responsibilities.

I personally have loved serving CMA for these past five years and am grateful that I will still be connected with the organization. At the same time, I am confident that Nora can bring a fresh perspective and style to the role.
