Here's how to Make a Nomination

College Media Advisers annual awards program is soliciting nominees for the 2009 class of excellence in media advising. The nomination process will begin around January 2009. Nominations wil be followed up with information packets that are typically mailed in early April with a return date in early April. Tales from FERPA crypt

Tell us your FERPA horror stories. The Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act was intended to protect educational records. However, as many know, some institutions have extended the definition of "educational" records to keep what should be public information behind a veil of secrecy. Kevin Schwartz at the University of North Carolin at Chapel Hill is collecting FERPA "horror story" anecdotes in an effort to make a case for reform of FERPA restrictions. Committee Zone seeks to boost CMA panels

As discussed at the Advisory Council Meeting in Kansas City, The CMA is providing more support and resources for the shared use of its committees.
